So far I have enjoyed reading Graceling it is obviously a lot easier to understand then The Left Hand of Darkness but I always seem to want more information then what is given or maybe I read to fast and miss things but this is what I wonder. Is it normal for Graced to marry one another? I would think that one who is graced would prefer to be with someone who is not afraid to look into their eyes and does not fear them or think of them as a freak. I understand though that in the medieval times women usually did not choose their spouses so that probably puts a stop to that idea. Also I would think that most men would not want a Graced wife and that is why I wonder why Giddon wants Katsa as his wife. Even though he knows she would or could kill him in a second and would never do the things He would expect a "normal" wife would do Giddon still asks her to marry him. There are many passages in this book talking of Katsa's beauty even though she is unaware of it so that could be one reason Giddon is in love with her but I think there is more to his love for her.
The next thing I was wondering about is does the grace a person is given change the way they are feared or are all that are Graced feared? or thought of as freaks? I mean I obviously would be more frightened by a Graced killer than a Graced horse caregiver I think that would be a given. So do people look into the eyes of other Gracelings or are they all treated as outsiders? Now these are just things I am wondering and have not read any other blogs yet so if I am touching on the same things others have written I did not mean to copy anything
